Single River Avon flood alert remains as waters recede

Flooded Hill Wootton Road, near Leamington Hill Wootton Road, near Leamington, was flooded by the River Avon

River levels across Warwickshire are continuing to fall, after reaching a peak from heavy rain and melting snow.

There is just one flood alert in place, affecting the River Avon between Rugby and Bidford, where flood waters are expected to continue receding.

The Met Office has issued a yellow warning for rain overnight and high winds on Wednesday.

Earlier flood alerts for the River Leam around Long Itchington and Leamington are no longer in force.
