Coventry hit and run CCTV footage released by police

Police want to trace the driver of the vehicle caught on CCTV hitting a woman and child before speeding off

CCTV footage of a woman and a child being hit by a car which then speeds off has been released by police in a bid to trace the driver.

The woman was crossing King William Street in Coventry with her three-year-old nephew when they were hit.

Officers said they escaped with minor injuries in the incident which occurred before 19:30 GMT on Friday 7 December.

Police believe the black Audi estate will have been damaged by the incident and are appealing for witnesses.
