Bedworth child rapist jailed for 12 years for knifepoint attack
A man who raped an 11-year-old boy at knifepoint has been jailed for 12 years.
Simon John Heritage, 38, attacked the boy in Bedworth in Warwickshire on 31 October.
He pleaded guilty at Warwick Crown Court to charges including kidnap, carrying an article with a blade, inciting a boy under 13 to engage in sexual activity and two counts of rape.
Det Ch Insp Ally Wright said this was a "particularly despicable crime".
Heritage was placed on the sex offenders register and banned from working with children for life.
