Fish farmer investigated over Eastern Europeans ban

The owner of a fishing lake who put up signs banning Eastern Europeans is being investigated by police following complaints of racism.

Eddie Whitehead, 75, who owns Dog Lane Fishery in Napton-on-the-Hill, Warwickshire, said he erected the signs up after £10,000 worth of carp was stolen.

He said he believed people from Eastern Europe visiting the lake before closing time were responsible.

Cath Mackie reports.
