More time to quiz suspect after Coventry balcony fall

Police have been given more time to question a suspect held on suspicion of murder after a man fell from an eighth-floor apartment balcony.

A passer-by reported a person lying on the ground outside the flats on Eden Street, in Foleshill, Coventry, at about 23:30 GMT on Wednesday.

The 30-year-old man was taken to hospital and died shortly after midnight.

Magistrates granted a 12-hour extension for police to quiz a 39-year-old man.
