A search is taking place for a man arrested in connection with the disappearance of a teenage mother more than 20 years ago.

The 49-year-old suspect was arrested in December on suspicion of the abduction and murder of 18-year-old Nicola Payne, who went missing in 1991.

But West Midlands Police said the unnamed man has failed to answer bail.

It comes after officers said a search of woodland at Coombe Abbey had "revealed items of interest".

Mother-of-one Nicola was last seen on 14 December in the Henley Green area of Coventry.
