Suspect in court over Rugby jaw stabbing

A man has appeared in court charged with attempted murder after a man was stabbed "several times" in Rugby.

Police said the victim, 21, suffered puncture wounds to his jaw and cuts to his arm during the attack in Parkfield Road at 15:00 BST on Sunday.

Caine Jackson, of Parkfield Road, appeared before magistrates in Nuneaton earlier. He is also accused of possession of a blade.

The 20-year-old is due to appear at Warwick Crown Court on 18 December.
