Two men have denied murdering a man who was found shot dead in a country lane in Warwickshire.

Jordan Banton, 23, from Rugby, was discovered in a car near the village of Newton on 25 July.

He had received a gunshot wound to his head, a post-mortem examination showed.

Darell Atkins, 28, of Follager Road, Rugby, and Paul Clarke, 32, of Bluebell Close, Rugby, both pleaded not guilty to murder and firearms offences at Warwick Crown Court.

A trial date has yet to be set.
