A school coach carrying more than 40 pupils skidded off a road and ended up in a ditch in Warwickshire.

The 202 Johnsons Coaches service crashed on The Ridgeway, Stratford-upon-Avon.

A 12-year-old boy suffered a minor eye injury but no-one else was hurt.

Johnsons Coaches said the driver had been suspended but was likely to be reinstated after an investigation. Commercial director John Johnson said conditions had been icy.

The coach had been taking the children to St Benedict's Catholic School and Alcester Grammar School.
