Redditch head teacher barred over cubicle voyeurism

A former head teacher who admitted watching a woman changing in a leisure centre cubicle has been barred from teaching indefinitely.

A professional conduct panel had recommended an indefinite prohibition order against David Doubtfire, of Bidford-on-Avon, Warwickshire.

He was convicted of voyeurism and put on the sex offenders register in June.

The panel said the offence was sexual misconduct which was "incompatible with being a teacher".

Doubtfire fell over in a changing room cubicle at Evesham Leisure Centre in July and made no attempt to to get up, the panel said.

It said his head landed slightly under the neighbouring changing cubicle and he looked at a woman who was getting changed until she noticed him.

The 51-year-old left his position at Walkwood Middle School in Redditch, Worcestershire, when he was charged.
