Society nightclub knife killing: Seven people arrested

Seven men have been arrested on suspicion of murdering a teenager who was stabbed at a Coventry nightclub.

The 18-year-old victim was found outside the Society Club in Tower Street soon after 02:00 GMT on Sunday.

Another 18-year-old man was stabbed in the back while a boy, 17, was slashed across the arm, police said. Their injuries are not life-threatening.

The seven arrested men are being held at separate police stations in Birmingham and Warwickshire.

On Monday morning three men, aged 18, 22 and 24, were arrested in Birmingham, police said.

Another four men, aged between 19 and 28, were arrested in a car travelling in Leicestershire at around 05:00 GMT on Sunday, a spokesman said.
