Boy charged after shotgun seized at Nuneaton school
A teenage boy has been charged after a shotgun and ammunition were seized at a Warwickshire school.
He has been charged with possession of a firearm and ammunition with intention to endanger life and possession of an article with a blade on school premises.
Police arrested the boy after being called to Higham Lane School in Nuneaton on Tuesday.
The boy, from Nuneaton, will appear at Warwickshire Magistrates' Court later.
In a statement on the school's website, head teacher Phil Kelly assured parents the school "will continue to be vigilant and will take all necessary precautions to ensure our children's safety".
"The safeguarding of our students is our priority and we dealt with this matter swiftly with Warwickshire Police," he said.
