A 200-metre (650ft) exclusion zone has been set up amid fears of an explosion after a fire started on a Carlisle industrial estate.

Firefighters were called to a workshop in Caxton Road, on the Newton Industrial Estate, shortly before 1700 BST on Wednesday.

There were a number of vehicles in the workshop and acetylene cylinders which led to the exclusion zone.

The fire service advised residents to close their windows.
