Ex-nursery worker from Staveley admits child sex abuse

A 20-year-old former nursery worker from Cumbria has admitted a string of child sex offences.

Daniel Tredwell, of Staveley, near Kendal, had previously admitted 17 charges, including sexual activity with an eight-year-old boy.

Appearing at Carlisle Crown Court on Monday, he also admitted two further charges of sexual activity with a boy.

The offences did not occur when he worked at a children's nursery. He is due to be sentenced on 11 February.

Tredwell, of Fairfield Close, has also admitted two charges of distributing indecent videos and downloading 500 indecent images.

He was remanded in custody for psychiatric reports.
