Workington care worker charged with abusing residents

A care worker has been charged with abusing two residents at a Cumbria Home.

Kimberley Walker is accused of ill-treating two elderly women under the Mental Capacity Act.

Cumbria Police said its inquiry centred on the Amathea Residential Home, in Workington, which is run by Southern Cross Healthcare.

Ms Walker, 24, of Newlands Lane South, Workington, will appear before West Allerdale Magistrates' Court on 20 May.
