Driver, 75, dies four days after Carlisle crash

A 75-year-old woman has died four days after being hurt in a crash on the outskirts of Carlisle.

Margaret Angus, 75, was injured when her Fiat Cinquecento collided with a Peugeot 306 on the road between Kingstown and Cargo at Crindledyke.

She was taken to Cumberland Infirmary where she died in the early hours of Tuesday, Cumbria Police said.

The crash happened near a disused railway bridge and police are appealing for witnesses.

The 33-year-old woman driver of the Peugeot was treated for chest and arm injuries and has been released from hospital.
