Dogs let loose in coop kill 15 chickens in Netherhall

Dogs deliberately let loose in a coop in Cumbria killed 15 chickens, police said.

Officers believe the culprits prised open the hut in Netherhall, near Maryport, and locked the dogs in with the chickens for some time.

Cumbria Police said the owner of the coop had been left "extremely distressed" by the attack.

It happened on Saturday night and police are appealing for anyone who saw anything suspicious to get in touch.
