Arrest after cannabis car find on M6 in Cumbria

A man has been arrested on suspicion of possession with intent to supply after police recovered cannabis from a car on the M6 in Cumbria.

The drug, with an estimated street value of £10,000, was found in a Citroen Xantia on Tuesday.

It had been stopped near the Farleton interchange by traffic officers on a routine patrol.

The 37-year-old driver, from Lancaster, was later bailed pending further inquiries.
