Kendal students brighten up Oxenholme station

One of Cumbria's busiest railway stations on the West Coast Mainline has become an art gallery.

Twelve works of art have gone on display in the waiting room, walls and railings of Oxenholme Station in the Lake District near Kendal.

The scenic displays are by students at Kendal College who were commissioned to brighten up the station.

The scheme is being run by the Lakes Line Community Rail Partnership local businesses and Virgin Trains.
