Cannabis and amphetamine with a street value of £40,000 have been found during raids on two addresses in Workington.

Detectives, as part of Operation Broader Sweep, targeted a house in Grasmere Avenue on Thursday where they found 3kg of amphetamine worth £30,000.

As part of the same operation, they raided a house in nearby Bowness Court where £10,000 of cannabis was found.

Two women and a man, all aged 34, were arrested on suspicion of drug dealing and bailed, Cumbria Police said.
