Workington care worker denies abusing residents

A care worker has denied abusing two elderly residents at a Workington home.

Kimberley Walker is accused of holding a blanket over a woman's head and a pillow over the face of another woman at the Amathea Residential Home.

Appearing at Carlisle Crown Court, Ms Walker, 24, of Newlands Lane South, Workington, denied two charges of ill-treating two elderly women.

She was remanded on bail until her trial on 7 November at the crown court.
