Woman killed cycling in Cumbria named as Kim Caplin

A 40-year-old woman who was killed in Cumbria on a long-distance bike ride has been named.

Police said Kim Caplin died when she hit a wall at Deepdale, near Dent, on the evening of 10 September.

Ms Caplin from Heather Close, Martlesham Heath, Ipswich, was part of a group on a Land's End to John O'Groats cycle ride. Police are not treating her death as suspicious.

Her family is being supported by a family liaison officer.
