Lead thieves target Cumbria church roof for second time

Thieves have targeted a Cumbrian church for the second time in a year to steal lead.

About 20 sq ms of lead were stolen from the roof of St Peter's church in Field Broughton, Grange-over-Sands.

Police said the incident happened between 16:00 GMT on Wednesday and 08:00 GMT on Thursday.

Lead was previously stolen from the church in February. Anyone with information has been urged to contact Cumbria Police.
