Dogs patrol during Barrow drug crackdown

Drugs dogs are being used by police in a Cumbrian town in a crackdown on illegal substances.

Cumbria Police has been running an operation in Barrow with the dogs and their handlers patrolling areas crowded with people on nights out.

The dogs are trained to patrol and indicate quietly when they detect the scent of drugs.

Police have carried out five search warrants at properties in the town with six people arrested and later bailed.
