The death of a 51-year-old Barrow man was not caused by criminal activity, a post-mortem examination has revealed.

Police were called to the address in Horland Court on Monday, where they found the body of John Chapman.

A 30-year-old man from Barrow was arrested on suspicion of assault but was later released without any further action.

In a tribute to Mr Chapman, his family said he would be "always loved and deeply missed".

The results of the examination will now be handed to the coroner who will consider the cause of death during an inquest.
