Cumbrian woman arrested following 'road rage' incident

A 60-year-old woman from Cumbria has been arrested after a suspected "road rage" incident in Barrow.

The incident happened on Monday 23 January at about 20:20 GMT on Urswick Green, when the woman was seen driving her car into a stationary white van.

A 64-year-old local man, who was inside the van, was earlier threatened with a knife. He was uninjured.

The woman was held on suspicion of attempting to cause grievous bodily harm and dangerous driving.

She remains in police custody.

Officers discovered that a domestic incident had occurred before the vehicles, a green Vauxhall Frontera and the white van, were damaged.

Anyone with any information or who may have witnessed the incident is asked to contact Cumbria Police.
