Tribute to Barrow motorbike crash death victim Joseph Took

A man who died following a motorcycle crash in Cumbria has been described as a "wonderful son" by his family.

Joseph Took, 18, from Walney, lost control of his Yamaha 125 on Abbey Road, Barrow, early on Sunday.

He was treated by paramedics at the scene and taken to Furness General Hospital, where he later died. No other vehicles were involved.

In a statement released by Cumbria Police, his family said he was "an angel" who was "deeply loved".

Officers are still investigating the incident and have appealed for witnesses.

The family statement said: "Joseph was an angel. He was a wonderful son, brother and friend and was one of the kindest people you could ever meet.

"He was loved deeply by his family and words can not express how we feel at this moment."
