A coach driver has been found not guilty of causing the deaths of two brothers on a bike ride in Cumbria.

Christian, 29, and Nicholas Townend, 21, died when they were hit by the coach near Moota in December 2010.

Robert Wightman, 43, of Creighton Avenue, Carlisle, had denied causing death through dangerous driving.

He was cleared of the charge after a jury at Carlisle Crown Court heard he was dazzled by the sun for a few seconds and did not see the men.

Christian, of Brigham, and Nicholas, from Cockermouth, died at the scene.
