A man has been charged with driving offences in connection with the death of a West Yorkshire woman, whose body was found in a Cumbrian lane.

The body of Rose-Marie Valente, 49, from Woodside Crescent in Bingley, was discovered on Black Bull Lane, Brough, Kirkby Stephen, in February.

The mother-of-four had been staying with her boyfriend nearby.

A 49-year-old man from Brough has been charged with a drink-driving offence and is due in court next month.

A Cumbria Police spokesman added: "A file has been submitted in relation to offences surrounding Rose-Marie Valente's death, which will be considered by the Crown Prosecution Service."
