Six charged over man's stab death in Carlisle

Six people have been charged in connection with the death of a man at a house in Carlisle.

Police and ambulance crews were called to an address in Arnside Road at about 06:00 BST on Sunday when they found Piotr Kulinski, 32, with stab wounds.

Mr Kulinski, originally from Poland, was pronounced dead at the scene.

Two men and a woman have been charged with murder and three men have been charged with assisting an offender. All six originate from Poland.

Piotr Zygner, 30, Pauline Mucha, 26, and Sylwester Kawalec, 23, all charged with murder, and Artur Skoczen, 30, Adam Karpuk, 23, and Artur Woszczyna, 44, all charged with assisting an offender, will appear at Carlisle Crown Court on Monday.

An 18-year-old man who was also arrested has been released without charge.

In a tribute, Mr Kulinski's partner said: "Piotr was a loving father and partner who was loved very much by his family. He will never be forgotten, we think about him all the time and miss him greatly."
