Whitehaven woman manslaughter inquiry named as Mica Atkinson

A Cumbria woman whose death is being treated as manslaughter has been named by police.

The body of 22-year-old Mica Atkinson was found in a house in Wasdale Close, Whitehaven, on Tuesday afternoon.

Cumbria Police said they are continuing to question a 25-year-old local man who was arrested on suspicion of manslaughter.

The coroner has been informed and a post-mortem examination is due to take place later.
