Barrow armed police arrests: Man on knife and cannabis charge
A man has been charged with drugs and weapon offences after armed police recovered two firearms and a knife in a Cumbria street.
Officers found the items during a call-out to Barrow Island, Barrow-In-Furness on Monday.
Charges of possession of a bladed article and possession of cannabis have been brought against a 45-year-old man.
Police cautioned a man, 54, for cannabis possession. He agreed to the destruction of an imitation firearm.
A 40-year-old man from Barrow has been detained for treatment under the Mental Health Act and two others were released.
Officers said they had also found a "viable" firearm.
