Cumbrian man killed in car crash was 'much loved'

The family of a 19-year-old who died when a car hit a tree near a village in Cumbria, has paid tribute to the "much loved" man.

Robin Hewitt was a rear seat passenger in a BMW which crashed on the B5320 at Eamont Bridge, near Penrith, at about 23:30 GMT on Thursday.

The 19-year-old, of Milner Mount, Penrith, was pronounced dead at the scene.

His family said he was a "devoted dad" who would be "sadly missed".

The driver and another passenger were taken to hospital for treatment.

The 23-year-old driver was arrested on suspicion of causing death by dangerous driving.
