Carlisle burglar found watching police

A man who broke into a Carlisle house was found by police standing at the front door watching them, a court has heard.

John Bell, 24, returned to the house in Adelaide Street after selling two laptop computers and CDs he had stolen.

Bell, of no fixed address, was holding a torch and was bleeding from a cut to his hand suffered smashing the kitchen window.

He was jailed for 18 months at Carlisle Crown Court after admitting burglary.
