Woman dies in south Cumbria A65 three-vehicle crash

A woman has died in a three-car collision on the A65 in Cumbria.

Marion Teresa Jones, 73 and from Barrow, was driving a VW Golf on the road leading from junction 36 of the M6 towards Kirkby Lonsdale, in the area known as Spital.

The female driver of an Audi suffered serious injuries and was airlifted to the Royal Preston Hospital.

A passenger in the dead woman's car suffered minor injuries, while the male driver of another VW Golf was unhurt.
