Motorcyclist dies in A684 Garsdale collision

A father of three has died in a motorcycle crash in Cumbria.

Garry Sharp was riding his BMW motorcycle when he was in a collision with a Hyundai Amica on the A684 near Garsdale, Sedbergh, on Thursday.

The 48-year-old biker from Flookburgh, Grange-over-Sands, was pronounced dead at the scene. The car driver, a man in his 70s, was unhurt in the crash.

Mr Sharp's family said in a statement they were "devastated by this tragic incident".

The statement added: "Garry who was a fantastic husband and brilliant dad will be missed by all that knew him.

"He lived for the special times he spent with his family and dogs and will be missed by his wife Angela and three sons Luke, Josh and Lewi."
