A591 Shenstone crash: Driver dies after car leaves road

A man has died after the car he was driving left the A591 in Cumbria.

Cumbria Police said David Bebbington's Toyota MR2 left the road and crashed on Sunday evening in Shenstone, near Kendal.

The 40-year-old from Lancaster, was taken to Lancaster Royal Infirmary, where he later died.

A police spokesman said no-one else was in the victim's car at the time and no other vehicles were involved. An appeal has been made for witnesses.
