Power restored to homes in Cumbria and Lancashire after storms
Power has been restored to the final 165 homes which had been left without electricity in parts of Cumbria and Lancashire after strong winds damaged overhead lines.
Electricity North West said the properties were reconnected by 18:30 GMT on Thursday.
About 1,250 houses were originally affected on Wednesday, mostly along the west coast of Cumbria.
Engineers are on standby for further bad weather predicted for Friday.
The A595 at Moota in west Cumbria was closed overnight on Wednesday after wind took off part of the roof of the derelict Moota Hotel.
The road reopened at about 06:00 GMT on Thursday.
Copeland Swimming Pool in Whitehaven was closed because of storm damage.
Fallen trees blocked the road at Inkerman Terrace in Whitehaven, Cumbria Police said on Wednesday evening.
At Barncroft Avenue in Seaton, the road was closed after a roof was blown off a property.
