Citizens Advice Bureau in Kendal reopens after closure

A Citizens Advice Bureau (CAB) in Cumbria that closed a year ago due to funding problems is set to reopen.

The branch in Kendal will now operate two days a week, on Mondays and Wednesdays.

It will offer general services, specialist debt and financial advice, and a service specifically aimed at people with cancer.

A trustee board has set up an income generating group to examine ways of increasing funding.

The group will assess demand and the available resources before deciding whether to open for more hours.
