Worker killed at Workington firm named

A worker killed in an industrial accident in Cumbria was from East Yorkshire, police have said.

Richard Brown is believed to have become trapped under pallets at Howden's Joinery at Clay Flatts Industrial Estate, Workington.

The 48-year-old, from Bristol Road, Hull, was pronounced dead at the scene on Monday.

Cumbria Police said it was continuing a joint investigation with the Health and Safety Executive.
