Two charged over £100,000 M6 heroin haul

Two people have been charged after police found heroin valued at £100,000 in a car on the M6 in Cumbria.

Officers pulled over a Subaru Impreza at Burton-in-Kendal on Wednesday.

Luke Marshall, 37, of Egerton Court, Barrow, and Tracey Buckney, 36, of Christopher Way, Liverpool, have been charged with conspiracy to supply Class A drugs.

At Furness and District Magistrates' Court, Mr Marshall was remanded in custody while Ms Buckney was bailed.

They are next due to appear at Preston Crown Court on 19 December.
