Murder accused John Michael Parry named as River Eden body find
The body of a man found in Cumbria is that of a pensioner who had been charged with murdering his wife, police have said.
John Michael Parry, 81, was found on Thursday afternoon at River Eden between Kirkoswald and Little Salkeld, three days after disappearing.
He had earlier been due to appear at Carlisle Crown Court charged with the murder of Meryl Parr, 80.
Cumbria Police said Mr Parry's death is not suspicious.
Officers said Mr Parry's family are being supported and details have now been passed to the coroner.
