Cumbria firm Wax Lyrical invests £1m in factory
A candle making company is investing £1m in its factory in Cumbria to meet a "growing demand" in the market.
Based in Ulverston, Wax Lyrical is building a new wicking line at the site to "increase production rate". The existing line is also being extended.
Managing director, Joanne Barber, said improving the 80,000 sq ft factory will help "improve productivity".
The company also plans to move and upgrade its product testing laboratory closer to the production lines.
The factory, which employs 130 people, hopes the move will create more jobs in the future.
