Cumbria police officer Tracy Taylor denies fraud charges

A Cumbria Police officer and her husband have appeared in court to deny fraud charges.

Det Con Tracy Taylor, 42 and her 41-year-old husband Paul, both of Irthington in Carlisle, were arrested in March 2014.

The pair denied three offences of making a false representation and two of fraud at a brief hearing at Newcastle Crown Court.

They were bailed to appear again for trial on 8 June.

The charges follow an investigation by the Cumbria force's Professional Standards Department and relate to disclosures that were made when trying to agree a voluntary arrangement with creditors between May 2012 and March 2014.
