Carlisle man charged over M6 £100,000 heroin seizure

A man has been charged after drugs worth about £100,000 were seized on the M6 in Cumbria.

Heroin was found by officers who stopped a car near Carlisle at about 20:30 BST on Wednesday.

A man, 27, from the city, has been charged with possession with intent to supply heroin. He will appear before Carlisle Crown Court on 4 June.

A woman, 22, from Carlisle was arrested and bailed on suspicion of possession with intent to supply controlled drugs.
