Terry Taylor death: Man charged with murder

A man has been charged with murder following the death of a man who was found injured in a Cumbria hotel.

Terry Taylor, 59, of Oldham, Greater Manchester, was found hurt at the Globe Hotel in Main Street, Cockermouth, early on Sunday.

He was taken to hospital but was pronounced dead on arrival.

Michael Sanderson, 30, of Arkleby Hall Cottages, Arkleby, Aspatria, appeared before West Allerdale magistrates charged with murder.

He was remanded in custody to appear before Carlisle Crown Court on 4 June.
