Tour of Britain: Community events for Cumbria leg
Community events and activities will mark the Cumbria stage of the Tour of Britain, organisers have revealed.
Thousands of spectators are expected to line the 118 mile (190km) route from Carlisle to Kendal on 5 September.
Towns and villages are set to welcome them with bunting and yellow bikes, and the race will be shown live on big screens in Keswick and Ambleside.
In Keswick, where the race finishes, there will be stalls, activities and a "promo village" with sponsors' stands.
People travelling by road on the day are advised to plan their journeys ahead to minimise disruption.
The day before the race, a "Carlisle Cycle Sunday" event is being held in the city centre, featuring cycling stunt teams, street entertainment and "have a go" cycling activities.
