Stainmore crash biker dies from his injuries

A motorcyclist died when he was involved in a crash in Cumbria.

He was one of three riders heading west on the A66 when he crashed at Stainmore, just after 16:30 BST on Tuesday.

Cumbria Police said the victim, believed to be from north-east England, was treated by paramedics and an air ambulance doctor but died at the scene.

The force has appealed for witnesses. His family have been informed, a spokesman said.
