Derby police probe 'unexplained' death in Normanton

The death of a woman whose body was found in Derby is being treated as "unexplained" by police.

Emergency services were called to Depot Street, in Normanton, on Sunday evening where they found the 35-year-old.

Officers said her death appeared to be "sudden" and there would be a post-mortem examination later.

A Derbyshire Police spokesman said the coroner had been notified and the woman's next of kin had been traced and informed.

House-to-house enquiries have been conducted in the area.
