Normanton stabbing death woman named

A woman stabbed to death at a house in Derby has been named by police.

The body of Roveela Kauser, 35, was found at the property Depot Street, in Normanton, on Sunday evening. Officers confirmed she lived at the address.

Initially the death was treated as unexplained but post-mortem tests confirmed she died from stab wounds and a murder investigation was launched.

A 20-year-old man arrested on suspicion of murder in connection with the death remains in custody.
